BJP attacks BJD govt at executive committee meeting

Bhubaneswar, Nov 24: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attacked the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) led Odisha government at the state executive committee meeting held in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. The party in a resolution said that the BJD government led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has failed to ensure development in the last 21 years in the state. The party said crimes against women are rising in the state while corruption is at its peak. It also lashed out at the Chief Minister for maintaining a stoic silence over the allegations against his ministers. Referring to Mahanga double murder case and the Mamita Meher murder case, the party said the ministers are involved in the cases and no action has been taken against them. State party president Samir Mohanty, Odisha Prabhari D Purandeswari, Saha Prabhari Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, Union Minister Bishweswar Tudu and national vice-president Baijayant Panda attended the meeting. Besides, all the MPs, MLAs, and district presidents also took part in the meeting.
