Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said that his party will raise the issue of cut in Central share of funds to the State and said Government is prepared to have discussion with the Opposition in the floor of the Assembly.
Ahead of the crucial budget session of the Assembly, Patnaik today chaired the BJD legislature party meeting at the State Assembly and fine tuned strategies to taken on opposition parties.
The Session will begin from Monday and continue till February 12.
Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera will present the interim budget on February 7 for three months.
The Session will have a total of seven business days. While Governor will address the House on February 4, motion of thanks on Governor’s address will be held on February 5 and 6. On February 8, motion on vote on account and appropriation bill will be passed.
Since this is the last Budget Session ahead of key Assembly polls and Lok Sabha elections, political parties are likely to add a stronger pitch to their performance in the House.
