Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Sunday staged a protest near Raj Bhawan in Bhubaneswar over increasing prices of fuel and other essential commodities.
As part of the protest, the students’ wing of BJD took out a cycle rally. Some members also rode a horse cart.
The party also submitted a memorandum to the Governor addressing the President of India.
The party demanded that the Centre should put a brake on the rising prices of petrol, diesel, vegetable and essential commodities.
