​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, September 17: Members of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Mahila Morcha- women's wing staged protests across Odisha on Wednesday, criticizing the BJP government for failing to ensure women's safety.

Following the protests, the Biju Mahila Janata Dal submitted a memorandum to the Superintendents of Police (SP) in all districts, raising concerns over the growing incidents of violence against women.

The memorandum stated, "While crimes against women continue to surge, the BJP government’s efforts are limited to planting trees in the name of mothers. Under the 14-month BJP rule, women have lost their sense of security. They are unsafe in schools, workplaces, and even on the streets."
