Bhubaneswar/New Delhi, May 8: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday extended full support to Operation Sindoor during an all-party meeting convened by the Centre to brief political leaders on India’s recent strikes against terror camps in Pakistan and PoK.
Representing BJD and its president, Naveen Patnaik, MP Sasmit Patra praised the armed forces for their “extraordinary courage and precision,” and reaffirmed the party’s firm support for any action to protect India’s sovereignty.
While the Congress also supported the operation, its president, Mallikarjun Kharge, questioned Prime Minister Modi’s absence from the meeting, stressing the PM should have personally addressed opposition leaders.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led the briefing, attended by top leaders including Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Kharge, and Rahul Gandhi.
