Balasore: A biker was killed after an unknown vehicle hit his bike near Chandanpur on Kupari- Ranitala road under Simulia police limits in Balasore district on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Narahari Rana.

According to reports, the mishap took place when Rana was returning to village from Addabazar. An unknown vehicle hit his bike from rear and fled the spot. He died on the spot.

Tension prevailed after the accident as angry locals blocked the road demanding compensation for the family of the deceased. On being informed, Simulia police reached the spot and started investigation.
