Bike-pick-up van head-on collision claims two lives in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal, Jan 13: In a tragic incident, at least two persons were killed after a two-wheeler collided head-on with a pick-up van in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district this morning.
The identities of the deceased persons are yet to be ascertained.
As per reports, the mishap took place near Tileibereni on the Kamakhyanagar-Kankadahad PWD road under Kamakhyanagar police limits in the district. The pickup-van was returning from Dandadhar dam side to Kamakhyanagar when a bike coming from the opposite direction lost control on his vehicle and collided head-on with it.
As a result, two people riding on the bike died on the spot and the pick-up van skidded off the road.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and seized the bodies. Subsequently, they were sent for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
