Bihar tourism minister’s son opens fire at civilians: 1 injured

Patna, Jan 24: A sense of havoc prevailed after Bihar tourism minister Narayan Prasad’s son allegedly opened fire at a group of people who were playing cricket on his private land.

The incident occurred in Bettiah village located in West Champaran district on January 23 (Sunday).

According to sources, The Minister’s son who was aggravated over the group for trespassing his private property started firing on the people.

“After attempting to assault the group, he allegedly took out his gun and opened fire, threatening to kill the trespassers. He (minister’s son) had hit the man with the back of the gun thereby severely injuring his head,” claimed an eyewitness.

However, Minister Narayan Prasad has denied the claim of open fire by his son.

“No firing by my son, the revolver was snatched,” said Narayan Prasad Sah, Tourism Minister, Bihar.
