Patna, October 2: On the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday inaugurated the Bapu Tower in Patna.
The inauguration event was organized at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
CM Kumar also paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi by offering flowers to his statue.
In a social media post on X, CM Nitish Kumar wrote, "On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, he was paid homage by offering flowers to his statue in a state function organised at Gandhi Maidan in Patna."
Bihar CM further said that Mahatma Gandhi's ideals and thoughts are inspirations and everyone should follow his thoughts.
Earlier in the day, JD(U) MP and Union Minister Rajeev Ranjan, alias Lalan Singh, participated in the Swachhata Abhiyan on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and said that cleanliness is an important part of everybody's life.
"Through this campaign, the message is clear that cleanliness is a very important part of every individual's life. Cleanliness can help in getting rid of many problems,"
