Bhutan confers its highest civilian award on PM Modi

New Delhi, Dec 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday was confered with Bhutan's highest civilian award - Ngadag Pel gi Khorlo. The Bhutan's Prime Minister's Office said in a Facebook post, "HM highlighted all the unconditional friendship and support Modiji extended over the years and particularly during pandemic. Much deserving! Congratulations from the people of Bhutan. In all interactions, seen Your Excellency as a great, spiritual human being. Looking forward to celebrating the honour in person". The award, established in 2008, honours those who have dedicated their lives to serving Bhutan's nation and people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first foreigner to receive the coveted award.
