Bhubaneswar sets new record for March with 44.2 degree Celsius, hottest in India

Bhubaneswar, Mar 31: As many as 13 places in Odisha recorded temperature of more than 41 degree Celsius and Bhubaneswar was the hottest at 44.2 degree Celsius. Officials of Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar said that the city broke all time record for temperature for the month of March since its establishment in 1948. The previous record in the month of March was 42.2 degree Celsius which was recorded on March 21, 2016. The other places which recorded maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius on Wednesday are Baripada (43.6°C), Balasore (43°C), Chandbali (42.6°C), Talcher (42.5°C), Malkangiri, Gajapati and Boudh (42°C), Angul (41.7°C), Balangir and Bhawanipatna ( 41.5°C), Titlagarh and Nayagarh (41.2°C).
