Bhubaneswar records 43.3° C, third highest for April since 2011

Bhubaneswar, April 24: The state capital continued to reel under intense heatwave with maximum temperature reaching 43.3 degree Celsius on Sunday. Officials in the Meteorological Centre Bhubaneswar said that today’s temperature was the third highest in the month of April since 2011. The maximum temperature recorded in the month of April since 2011 was 45.8 degree Celsius which was measured on April 11, 2016. “ Maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely to gradually rise by 3 to 5 °C at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha and there will be no large change over Coastal Odisha during next 2 days and also no large change thereafter over the districts of Odisha,” said a Met official.
