Bhubaneswar, Dec 10: Over 10 teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya-1 in Bhubaneswar have tested positive for Covid-19 today.
Earlier on Thursday, two students of Capital High School tested positive for Covid-19.
The mass RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen tests of the students and teachers in the institutions have been ramped up amidst the scare of the Omicron variant.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to conduct the Covid tests post the reopening of schools in Bhubaneswar given students’ safety as they come in regular contact with each other.
Those who have minor symptoms of Covid have been asked to stay under quarantine according to the protocols.
