Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: Shopping malls in the capital city of Odisha wore a festive look on the occasion of Durga Puja with shoppers thronging them to purchase new clothes as Covid-19 eases its grip. Big brands and outlets, who had incurred losses due to the lockdown and restrictions imposed due to the pandemic, are offering special discounts to woo customers and making a turnaround. A good amount of shoppers made beeline at different malls and marts to refresh the taste buds relishing street food after shopping on Saturday and Sunday. Many stores are offering special discounts to their customers. Children, girls and women were seen in large number purchasing clothes and taking Dussehra shopping selfies outside on the premises of DN Regalia mall at Patrapada. {"id":77347,"width":577,"height":654,"sizeSlug":"large"} Shopping clothes from malls is a different experience, which has doubled this time as we are experiencing it after seven months isolation, said Soumya Ghosh. We get a wide range of designs and products at different marts and outlets at one place and select the best fit for us, added her friend Parineeti. All the malls are providing sanitisers to their customers at the entry point and each outlet also before they enter the shops, so there is nothing to worry, said Manoj Kar. Street food vendors are also making good business outside the shopping malls and marts and are strictly following Covid guidelines. Small traders and garment stores in the city are also witnessing a revival this festive season.
