Manipur’s vibrant artistic heritage arrives in Bhubaneswar for weeklong display.

Thirty acclaimed artists from Manipur are currently showcasing their creative prowess at the Rashtriya Lalit Kala Kendra in Kharavela Nagar. This 31st annual group exhibition, organised by the Manipur State Kala Akademi, features a sophisticated blend of paintings, sculptures, and print artworks. Secretary of the Rashtriya Lalit Kala Kendra, Ramakrishna Vedala, inaugurated the event, emphasising how artistic expression serves as a vital medium for global peace.

Cultural Synergy at Kharavela Nagar

Prominent figures including Sunanda Thokchom, Ramahari Jena, and Dr. Panchanan Samal gathered to celebrate this cross-state creative dialogue. This exhibition acts as a bridge between the Northeast and Eastern India, echoing the long-standing cultural ties shared between the classical dance and craft traditions of Manipur and Odisha.
