Bhimatangi Priyanka murder case: Chargesheet filed against Jagannath

Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: The Commissionerate Police on Friday filed a 350-page charge sheet in the sensational murder case of Priyanka Priyadarshini in Bhimatangi area of Bhubaneswar. Police have filed the chargesheet against the prime accused Jagannath Pradhan in SDJM court here. At least 51 people have become witnesses in connection with this case. Worth mentioning, on July 6, accused Jagannath had entered into the house of Priyanka in Bhimatangi area with two knives, poison, a vermillion container, chocolates, and beverages at around 9.00 am after Priyanka’s husband left for office. The woman and her little son were inside the house. He started speaking to the woman in a usual manner and proposed to her for marriage, but she rejected him. The conversation later turned into an argument and as per the plan, he slit her throat with a knife after she rejected his proposal. Later, he attempted suicide by consuming the poison. Before it, he made a video call to Priyanka’s husband.
