Bhawanipatna: Man tries to sacrifice father for hidden treasure, nabbed

Dhramagarh, April 30: In a most shocking incident, police arrested one youth, who had allegedly tried to sacrifice his father in the belief of finding some hidden treasure in Kalamphandi area under Jayapatna police limits in Kalahandi district. The accused has been identified as Lingaraj Bhoi of Belapada village. {"id":181055,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} Reportedly, Lingaraj had forcefully taken his 70-year-old father to the backyard of his house for performing human sacrifice. He also thrashed him black and blue while the elderly man opposed him. A priest was also present over there. Locals informed the police about the incident after they came to know about it.. An enraged Lingaraj had also attacked a Grama Rakhi with an axe, who tried to save the old man. He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition. Meanwhile, Jayapatna police reached the spot and nabbed the son and the priest.
