Bhoi filed nomination for the Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. He represents the Talasara Assembly constituency and has secured his second term as MLA

Bhubaneswar, July 24: Talasara MLA Bhabani Shankar Bhoi elected as the Deputy Speaker of Odisha Assembly. Speaker Surama Padhy announced Bhoi as the Deputy Speaker.

Bhoi filed nomination for the Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. He represents the Talasara Assembly constituency and has secured his second term as MLA. Bhoi had filed his nomination today in presence of chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi, two deputies, cabinet colleagues and senior MLAs of the party.

In 2019 elections, Bhoi was elected from the Talasara constituency in the Odisha Legislative Assembly, and subsequently secured re-election in 2024.
