Berhampur, August 24: In a shocking incident of despair and frustration, a youth in Odisha’s Berhampur reportedly ended his life jumping before a speeding truck.
The deceased has been identified as Suba Rao of Kamalapur under Gopalpur police limits in Ganjam district.
The incident took place on NH 16 near Gopalpur on Saturday.
According to police, Rao parked his bike on the roadside and leaped in front of a truck all of a sudden, and was curshed to death.
Police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Preliminary investigation suggested was in mental trauma due to family discord.
It might be the underlying cause of the extreme decision, said police.
