Berhampur SDJM court again directs Tapaswini & Sumit to stay together in rented house

Berhampur, Dec 9: The Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Berhampur has directed couple Tapaswini and Sumit to stay together in rented house. The court has also allowed families of the couple to meet them. The next hearing is scheduled on January 17. The court has asked Sumit to arrange a rented accommodation for Tapaswini and bear her expenses during this period. Besides the court has also asked concerned police station to submit weekly report in this regard. Earlier the court had directed the couple to stay in an accommodation arranged by the police. The court had also barred family members to meet them during their weeklong stay at the arranged accommodation. Tapaswini and Sumit had reportedly legally married at a marriage registrar’s office a while ago. Later, their families allegedly decided to solemnize their marriage through customary Hindu rituals on November 22. However, when Tapaswini and her family were waiting for Sumit and his kin at the wedding venue, the latter did not turn up. Even they did not allegedly respond to phone calls. Subsequently, Tapaswini had staged a demonstration in front of the hosue of Sumit demanding that she should be accepted and allowed by Sumit and his family members to live with them as his wife.
