Berhampur, Jan 19: Berhampur police has arrested a four wheeler lifter on Wednesday. As many as three stolen vehicles including a Tata Nexon, Mahindra car and a Scorpio have been recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Udit Khan, a native of Taraboi village in the Jatani area. Sources said, a Mahindra car of Jagaddish Tripathy was stolen from the Bada bazaar area of Berhampur town on January 12. During investigation, Udit was found to possess the car along with other vehicles. Subsequently, he was arrested by police. After interrogation, Udit confessed that the lifted vehicles were being used in criminal activities. Further investigation is underway to nab the other accused as soon as possible, said Berhampur SDPO, Bishnu Pati.
