Barber father seeks help to replace kid’s liver

Bhubaneswar, Mar 12: Parents of Shiva Shankar, a two-year old kid, cry for help to transplant the liver of their child.  They await government assistance and public contribution to save their kid’s life from liver dysfunction.  Shiva Shankar, son of Manas Barik who lives in Kalapada under Dihapada near Chowdar in Cuttack, has been suffering from liver dysfunction since his birth. Under the impact of the disease, the kid is turning pale with a swelled belly. He had been admitted to AIIMS hospital, Bhubaneswar eight months ago and the treating doctor advised for liver transplantation as soon as possible.  However, his poor father Manas, a barber by profession, could not arrange the amount essential for the expensive surgery. As a result, Shiva is now struggling with life. His condition is getting worse day by day.     Under this circumstance, Manas seeks financial assistance from the government and volunteers required for the liver-transplant.
