Balasore, May 12: A man committed suicide on Thursday by hanging himself after incurring a huge loss in the share market. This tragic incident took place in Sardarsahi village under Baliapal police limits in the Balasore district. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Das, working as a clerk in a nearby society office. Reportedly, Santosh did not sleep with his wife and son last night and went to another room. Later when he did not come out of his room this morning, his family broke the door and found him hanging. On getting the information, Baliapal police arrived at the spot and recovered the body. The cops sent the body for autopsy and filed a case. Notably, Santosh took a loan of Rs 30 lakh and invested it in the online share market hoping to become a millionaire overnight. However, he was always under constant mental pressure about repaying the money because of the frequent loss. Unfortunately, he chose to end his life. However, before committing suicide, Santosh wrote a letter to his wife to take care of his mother and child. He has also mentioned that he is responsible for his death. The police have initiated an investigation based on the suicide note recovered from his room.
