Balangir: Four banks sealed in last two days for violating Covid-19 norms

Kantabanjhi, May 18: At least four banks have been sealed in Balangir by the district administration in the last two days for violating the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the state government keeping in view of the rising Covid-19 cases in the state. The Kanbanjhi NAC officer has sealed the State Bank of India (SBI) main branch and Union Bank of India today for 48 hours after finding the guidelines issued by the govt being flouted at its premises. Earlier, the SBI’s evening branch and Bank of Baroda was sealed for not following the Covid-19 norms on Monday. The banks will be again inspected in this regard as they recommence after 48 hours failing to which more stringent actions will be taken, said an official.
