Bhubaneswar, Aug 15: People living along the Baitarani and Salandi rivers are facing difficulties as the flood water entered their villages.
Flood water of Baitarani and Salandi and their tributaries entered the riverside villages and municipality wards.
As per reports, the water level in Baitarani River breached the danger mark near Akhuapada, with water flowing at 17.96 metre against the danger mark of 17.83 metre. The farmlands in Chandbali, Tihidi, Dhamanagar and Bhandari Pokhari blocks of the district are waterlogged.
Flood water of Salandi submerged paddy and vegetable crops in hundreds of acres of land in Bhadrak.
