Bhubaneswar, Mar 5: Imagine rushing to an ATM for some urgent cash, only to find that there’s no cash to withdraw. This frustrating scenario has become an everyday struggle for Axis Bank customers as ATMs continue to run dry.
The widespread shortage of cash has caused severe inconvenience to thousands of people, especially those relying on cash transactions for their daily needs.
As per reports, the shortage of cash in Axis Bank ATMs arose as employees of ‘Secure Group,’ a cash management company outsourced by Axis Bank to handle ATM cash refilling, halted their work due to non-payment of salaries.
It has led to a disruption in cash replenishment services. As a result, ATMs have been running dry for the last few days, causing frustration among customers who are unable to withdraw money when needed.
Many customers have taken to social media to express their disappointment, questioning why the issue wasn’t addressed earlier. Business owners, small traders, and daily wage earners are particularly affected by the situation, as they rely heavily on cash transactions.
When asked about the situation, officials from several Axis Bank branches assured that the problem is being addressed and that normalcy will return within the next two to three days.
