ATM loot bid foiled in Bhubaneswar, two arrested

Bhubaneswar, Jan 18: The Commissionerate Police on Tuesday arrested two persons for allegedly trying to loot money from an ATM counter of Punjab National Bank in Unit-8 area in Bhubaneswar.
Sources said two person identified as father-son and were the native of Kandhamal and lived in Nayapalli area arrived at the ATM counter. Later, they went inside the ATM counter trying to break open the ATM using a gas cutter.
Meanwhile, the police reached the spot and arrested the two accused.
Police said that the arrested will be interrogated further to ascertain the involvement of other members in the racket and their modus operandi.
Efforts are on to nab their absconding associate.
