Bhubaneswar, July 30: Raja Kishore Jena, Assistant Engineer with the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Division-III in Bhubaneswar, has been arrested by Odisha Vigilance in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case. He is scheduled to be produced before the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar later today.
The arrest follows the registration of Vigilance Cell PS Case No. 9/2025 against Jena. Extensive searches conducted at multiple locations linked to him revealed assets vastly disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to officials, Jena was found in possession of one multi-storeyed building in Niladri Vihar, Bhubaneswar; two residential flats in Cosmopolis, Bhubaneswar; and two commercial outlets located in Galleria and Symphony Mall. Additionally, investigators unearthed 13 high-value plots, bank deposits amounting to ₹75 lakh, and evidence of ₹67 lakh spent on the overseas education of his two children.
Vigilance authorities confirmed that Jena failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the amassed assets. The investigation is ongoing.
