Sambalpur, April 9: In connection with a lease dispute, the property of Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) office Sambalpur on Wednesday.
Following an order passed by the local court, the assets of the corporation at Modipada in the town, were attached, in order to recover a leasee’s security deposit.
As per reports, in 1998, one Saroj Tripathy reportedly entered into a lease agreement with the Odisha State Transport Corporation (OSTC), acquiring two buses on lease.
As part of the arrangement, he deposited Rs 50,000 as security. However, the buses were returned to the corporation by the leasee after six months and applied for refund of the security. However, the OSRTC authorities did not pay the amount for which Tripathy moved the court in this connection.
Hearing the plea, the court ordered to attach the office property for due recovery of the security.
