Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: Odia artist Priyanka Sahani has made a special art to greet journalists on National Press Day.
Priyanka has greeted the scribes by making logos of several news organizations across the state by using earbuds, cardboard, and glue.
She is known for creating special artworks on several occasions.
National Press Day is celebrated every year on November 16. The day marks the presence of an independent and responsible press in India. The day is aimed at highlighting the importance of an independent press in a democracy.
PCI is a self-regulatory organization that operates under the Press Council Act of 1978. It has a chairman, a retired Supreme Court judge, and 28 additional members, 20 of whom are members of the media, five of whom are members of the Indian parliament’s Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, and three of whom represent culture, literature, and law as nominees of the Sahitya Academy, University Grant Commission, and Bar Council of India.
