The scheme aims to provide health insurance coverage to working journalists across the state. Beneficiaries and their families are entitled to receive cashless medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh at empaneled hospitals under this initiative.

Bhubaneswar, August 26: The State Government has extended the deadline for applications to the Gopabandhu Journalist Health Insurance Scheme following the direction of Hon’ble Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The last date, which was earlier set for August 25, has now been extended to August 30, in response to requests from members of the journalist community.

The scheme aims to provide health insurance coverage to working journalists across the state. Beneficiaries and their families are entitled to receive cashless medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh at empaneled hospitals under this initiative.

For the current year, applications are being invited online for both new enrollments and renewals.

Interested journalists can submit their applications by visiting the official portal at www.owjws.odisha.gov.in
