Another complaint registered against OTV MD over alleged land grabbing

Khordha, Oct 6: Villagers of Lokanathpur and Sarua have lodged a complaint of land grabbing against OTV Managing Director, Jagi Mangat Panda at Baghamari police station in Khordha district. The villagers alleged that Panda and her associates have started construction of boundary wall near a pond which is being used for irrigation of nearby agricultural land. They also alleged that Panda’s men have been threatening them of dire consequences as they tried to prevent them from constructing the boundary wall. Police said that they have started an investigation after registering a case under relevant sections of IPC. Earlier on October 1, an investigation was launched at administrative level after hundreds of people of Sarua, Jayamangal and Goudaput villages had held demonstration over land grabbing in the area by OTV recently.
