Bhubaneswar, July 28: Another 30 persons have been tested positive for dengue in Bhubaneswar today taking the total to 421. Officials in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that more than 50 dengue cases have been reported in the northern zone of Bhubaneswar. Most of the dengue cases have been identified in Ward No 14, 17, 7, and 42. The season’s first dengue death was reported from Bhubaneswar on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as Madhusmita Das (15) from Sailashree Vihar of Chandrasekharpur area. He was studying in Class-X. The BMC, however, is yet to confirm the dengue death. To prevent the possible outbreak of mosquito-borne viral disease dengue, the BMC has issued guidelines to be followed by all concerned.
