Bhubaneswar, AP 28: After the exposure of the Andhra B.Ed scam, candidates who secured jobs using fake certificates are now in a state of panic. Many fear they could lose their positions, while others are anxious about possible arrests. With the police investigation ongoing, candidates are now cautiously watching developments, and some are reportedly attempting to distance themselves from the controversy before investigations advance.
The allegations revolve around two accused individuals from Burla—Chittaranjan Barik and Reema Das—who, in the name of providing B.Ed certificates, allegedly collected large sums of money from more than 300 aspirants. While many candidates never received certificates or refunds, some were issued fake certificates to silence them. Several candidates even applied for positions in CTET, OSSTET, and OTET exams, trusting these fraudulent certificates. Those who secured jobs using these fake certificates are now questioning their legitimacy, creating a climate of fear.
Based on complaints from two female students in the Brajarajnagar area, the Jharasuguda Cyber Police registered a case. Following the court process, the police have begun investigating certificates issued through the One World Academy operated by the accused. Many candidates are now worried about being implicated in the scam.
Superintendent of Police Gundala Raghavendra Reddy confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and stated that no individuals involved would be spared. Meanwhile, numerous high schools and English medium schools had employed candidates using Andhra B.Ed certificates. The revelation of the scam has caused widespread concern among them. Those who had paid fees for admission and certificates now doubt whether they will recover their money, especially as the two accused are currently in jail.
