Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Sambalpur on February 15, informed party State unit president Basant Panda here today.
During the proposed visit Shah will address people and karyakartas of four Lok Sabha constituencies – Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Bargarh and Sundergarh.
This will be the third visit of Shah to Odisha in a fortnight as he had already held a rally in Salipur in Cuttack district on January 29 and attended the party’s national janjati convention on February 3.
In Salipur Shah also addressed booth-level workers from four Lok Sabha constituencies – Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack and Jajpur – which have 28 assembly segments.
In Puri too, he also held a closed door meeting with saffron party leaders besides addressing the tribals as part of the party’s national janjati convention.
The frequent visit of Shah assumed significance ahead of the crucial Lok Sbaha and Assembly elections in the State. The party has set a target of 120+ seats in the Assembly elections due in May.
