Amid rise in temperature, Odisha starts morning shifts in schools from today

Bhubaneswar, Mar 1: With daytime temperature soaring past 40 degree Celsius ahead of summer, the Odisha schools started morning shifts in schools from today. Usually schools start functioning in morning hours from April 1 every year, but the state government on Friday directed the education department to start morning shifts in schools from March 1 following the rise in temperature. Classes for IX and XI which were running from 8.30 am to 10 am are rescheduled from 7 am to 9 am. Similarly, classes for X and XII which were conducted from 11 am to 4 pm are rescheduled from 9 am to 1 pm.
