New Delhi, Sept 2: All is not well in the Punjab Congress, AICC state in-charge Harish Rawat said on Thursday and claimed that state Congress is heading towards the 'all is well' situation. Amid the ongoing rift in the Punjab Congress Rawat told media persons, "I won't say all is well, but we are heading towards it. I do not want to hide from you. We are trying to solve the issue." Harish Rawat’s remarks come a day after he met Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu separately in Chandigarh to chalk out a plan to solve the ongoing rift between the two leaders. The top leadership of the Congress party has made it clear that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will be leading the party in the upcoming state Assembly polls. Notably, Navjot Singh Sidhu was appointed Punjab Congress chief last month amid efforts by the party's central leadership to end factionalism in the state unit. The assembly elections in Punjab are due early next year.
