Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced all the 314 blocks of the State have been covered under the Ama Gaon Ama Bikash (Our Village, Our Development) programme. More than 60,000 development projects worth Rs 1,500 crore have been sanctioned under the initiative.
“I am very glad to announce that we have completed the Ama Gaon Ama Bikash programme for this year. This covers all the 314 blocks of the State. The projects which have been approved are more that 60,000 and of more than Rs 1,500 crore,” Patnaik told media persons at the State Secretariat here.
The Chief Minister said the programme is a fine example of the State Government’s principle of the 3Ts, Technology, Teamwork and Transparency.
The flagship programme was launched on March 5, 2018, marking the 102nd birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik. As part of the programme, Chief Minister interacted with the people in grassroots level directly through videoconferencing and approved projects as suggested by the people.
