Bhubaneswar, May 28: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to revolutionize the early detection and treatment of thyroid-related illnesses, according to AIIMS Bhubaneswar Executive Director Ashutosh Biswas.
Speaking on Wednesday, Dr. Biswas emphasized the transformative potential of AI in the realm of personalized healthcare, particularly in managing hypothyroidism—a condition that impacts roughly one in ten adults in India.
“The AI-based diagnostic system, soon to be implemented at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, will enhance early detection, monitor disease progression, and facilitate outcome-driven treatment. This innovation will be especially valuable for patients in rural and underserved regions,” he said.
