Adi Godrej to step down as chairman of Godrej Industries

Mumbai, Aug 13: Godrej Group Chairman Adi Godrej will step down from the board of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL). He will continue to remain as Chairman Emeritus of the FMCG firm. Nadir Godrej, who is currently Managing Director of Godrej Industries Limited (GIL), will take over as Chairman and Managing Director of the company, the company stated in a regulatory filing. "Adi Godrej will step down as Chairman and from the Board of Directors of GIL. He will continue to serve as Chairman of the Godrej Group and Chairman Emeritus of GIL. Nadir Godrej, who is currently Managing Director of GIL, will take over as Chairman and Managing Director of the company," the filing said.
