<strong>Accident before RTO office in Balangir: CCTV footage reveals a bid!</strong>

Balangir,May 22: The accident which claimed a life before the RTO office in Balangir on Saturday has taken a new turn today. The CCTV footage featuring the scene has revealed that the accident was man made and a planned bid for killing. Acting on the allegations of the family members of the deceased and the injured one, Balangir police have seized the CCTV footage and initiated further investigation into the matter. At the same time, two suspected youths have been detained for interrogation. Sources said,one Srikant Bag succumbed to head injury while two others, Sanu Naik and Chittaranjan Mohanty were critical after a 407 truck hit their bike near the Balangir RTO office on Saturday. However, a few locals who witnessed the accident on the spot smelt something unusual from the body of the truck and the driver’s activity. Meanwhile, Sanu’s father and the family members of the deceased suspected a foul play behind the incident and lodged complaints with the police. In their complaints they cited that there was a conspiracy behind the accident. Accordingly, Balangir SDPO Toofan Bag intensified the investigation so as to cross-check the basis of allegations with the circumstantial evidences. Subsequently, the CCTV footage from the spot and verified and some lead clues regarding the incident was found. Following it, the UD case was turned to a murder case and three accused along with the alleged kingpin Chittaranjan Mohanty were detained and interrogated for further lead in this connection.
