Abandoned newborn girl rescued from haystack in Kalahandi

Dharmagarh, Feb 9: An abandoned newborn girl was rescued from a haystack in Kalahandi district of Odisha on Tuesday morning.
The infant was rescued by a group of women of Siuni village under Koksara police limits in the district, who were passing by the haystack when they heard a newborn cry.
The newborn was admitted to Koksara Hospital with help of the local ASHA worker.
Villagers have informed the district child protection officer about rescue of the baby girl.
