Odisha: Poacher arrested for killing blackbuck in Ganjam

A Poacher was arrested by Odisha forest department officials on Friday for allegedly hunting a blackbuck in Ganjam district. The accused, Rabindra Kumar Parida, was apprehended after the forest staff conducted a raid at Kebripalli village under the Jagannath Prasad forest range.

Bhubaneswar, January 2: A Poacher was arrested by Odisha forest department officials on Friday for allegedly hunting a blackbuck in Ganjam district.

The accused, Rabindra Kumar Parida, was apprehended after the forest staff conducted a raid at Kebripalli village under the Jagannath Prasad forest range.

According to Himasu Sekhar Mohanty, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Ghumusar North division, four other individuals involved in the poaching of the Schedule-I protected animal managed to flee the scene during the raid.
