98 Pakistani Hindu pilgrims stranded for 1.5 years due to COVID restrictions return via Attari-Wagah border

Chandigarh, Sept 5: As many as 98 Pakistani Hindus, who came to India on pilgrimage 1.5 years ago & got stranded due to COVID restrictions, returned via Attari-Wagah border in Punjab today "They were scheduled to return on September 3 but were turned back as they didn't have RT-PCR test report," said the protocol officer. We came to India to visit Haridwar (in Uttarakhand) last year but could not go back due to COVID-induced lockdown. We stayed in Jodhpur. We thank Govt of India for facilitating our COVID tests, said Wazir, a native of Sanghar district of Sindh province in Pakistan.
