97-year-old defeats Covid-19 at Odisha's SUM Covid Hospital

Bhubaneswar, Dec 1: Showing amazing resilience, a 97-year-old man infected by Covid-19 has defeated the dreaded pestilence at the SUM Covid Hospital here. Natabar Dash, who tested positive on November 18, was admitted into the hospital with co-morbidities like hypertension, diabetes and ashthma. Pneumonia had also set in when he was hospitalized. The medical team immediately rushed him into the ICU where he was given the required treatment. Dash, who belonged to Kishore Nagar in Cuttack district, was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday. While being discharged, Dash praised the hospital’s medical team while his son Kishore Chandra Dash expressed his gratefulness to the treating doctors, nurses and paramedics.
