Bhubaneswar, Aug 15: On the eve of the 80th Independence Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Odisha and all Indians across the country and abroad.

In his message, the Chief Minister paid heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters who made immense sacrifices for India’s independence. He said the nation would remain forever indebted to their courage, struggle and supreme sacrifice.

Recalling India’s journey since independence, Majhi said the country has achieved remarkable progress over the past eight decades and continues to move towards a stronger and more developed future.

He highlighted the ongoing efforts towards nation-building under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and called upon people to work together to build a strong, developed and prosperous India and a prosperous Odisha.

The Chief Minister also urged citizens to celebrate Independence Day with patriotic fervour by singing “Vande Mataram” and proudly hoisting the Tricolour at their homes.

He concluded his message with the patriotic greetings, “Jai Hind! Vande Mataram!”
