8 injured in group clash over past enmity in Bhadrak

Dhamnagar, Oct 11: At least eight persons were injured in a group clash over past enmity between two families at Palikiri village under Dhamnagar police limits in Bhadrak district, police said on Sunday. According to reports, Khageswar Das’ family had long standing dispute with Gayadhar Majhi’s. A verbal fight between two groups turned uglier when when they attacked each other with sharp weapon last evening and eight persons were injured. The injured were admitted to Dhamnagar Community Health Centre (CHC) and later, were shifted to district headquarters hospital. Health condition of four is stated to be critical and they have been shifted to SCB Hospital in Cuttack. A team of Dhamnagar police is patrolling in the village and the situation is under control.
