Bhubaneswar, Mar 15: As many as 748 Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) cadre posts are lying vacant in Lokseba Bhawan. This was informed by Minister of State, Home Dibya Shankar Mishra in the Assembly today. The state government has already moved a proposal to OPSC for filling up 210 posts of Assistance Section Officers by way recruitment, the minister said. Further, necessary step is being taken for filling up the posts of Sections Officers by way of promotion. Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for remaining posts have been conducted for fill up the vacancies. As per the data placed in the House, 266 Assistant Section Officer posts, 476 Section Officer posts, four Under Secretary posts ,one Joint Secretary post and one Additional Secretary post are lying vacant under the OSS cadre.
