6-hr Bhadrak Bandh; BJP protests land delay for textile park

Bhubaneswar: Normal life has been severely hit in Bhadrak district as the BJP has begun holding a six-hour bandh in protest against unavailability of land for the proposed textile park in the district.
Shops and bazaars have remained closed. Similarly, vehicular movement has been disrupted as activists have blocked the road at Bhandari Pokhari.
Trains services have also been halted. While the Jajpur-Kharagpur Passenger has been stopped at Manjuriroad station, the Bhadrak-Balugaon DMU halted at Bhadrak railway station. The bandh begun from 6 am will continue till 12 pm.
