Rajasthan, Dec 10: A sincere rescue operation by the NDRF is underway in Rajasthan's Dausa district after a five-year-old boy fell into an open borewell.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon in Kalikhad village when the child, Aryan Meena, was accompanying his mother to a nearby field and accidentally fell into a borewell,almost 150 ft deep, left open-faced.
On being informed police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation. Later, they called the NDRF team finding it a tough task to pull the kid out of the pipe.
Oxygen is being supplied to the pipe to him through a duct, and a camera has been inserted into the borewell to monitor his condition.
Local authorities, including Dausa District Collector Devendra Kumar and MLA Deendayal Berwa, are also at the scene along with police to oversee the rescue efforts.
Teams are working simultaneously on two approaches: digging a parallel pit to safely reach the child and attempting a direct rescue from the borewell itself, officials said.
"Rescue operation is on. The NDRF-SDRF teams are working here ceaselessly. Our priority is to rescue the child soon safely," Dausa District Collector Devendra Kumar said.
A deep tunnel is dug out to reach out the kid as soon as possible, the District Magistrate added.
